Day of Action: phone bank for Vote By Mail

Pennsylvania Democrats are working hard to let Democratic voters know about Pennsylvania’s new Vote by Mail system. Help them get the word out to make sure our supporters can have their voices heard during our primary.

With everything at stake this year in Pennsylvania, it’s important we get the word out about vote by mail now before the general election.

To make calls you’ll need a laptop or desktop (we recommend using a browser other than Safari) as well as a cell phone or land line.

We recommend getting set up 15 minutes before your shift starts, so you can call for the full hour. First time making calls? No worries! Please follow these three steps:

1) Learn how to make calls [https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Oj621RtwtCfUvO4MZWycZ2bSXbnmXJoJo0P8qX8SMvA/edit?usp=sharing]

2) Make calls to PA voters [https://thrutalk.io/caller/login/paback2blue]

3) Join our remote volunteer community Slack for live support![(https://join.slack.com/t/back2bluepa/shared_invite/zt-cvh0dopf-ZejJDAKRG_IZy36w0oengg)]

Also, feel free to sign up for one of our training sessions this week: https://www.mobilize.us/padems/event/264305/

Women’s March Pittsburgh: Hear our Vote! – No to War!

Three years of marching, training, organizing, and building power – it’s all been leading up to this. In 2020, we have a chance to finish what we started three years ago and remove Trump from office.

The Women’s March Pittsburgh extends a welcome to all who want to stand against War in Iraq and beyond to join us! Pittsburghers from many communities have reached out to ask us if Women’s March- Pittsburgh is a place to say “No War!” and we extend a resounding “YES!” War shatters women’s lives. War hurts families that are already disadvantaged hardest. We stand with peace in our families, cities and the world. JOIN US!
If you’re ready to join millions of women and allies on the streets, sign up to join our sister action on January 18, 2020.

While thousands march and put their bodies on the line in D.C., we need millions of people to rise up together in cities and towns across the country on January 18th to show that our resistance against Trump is strong in every corner of the country.

Keep checking back for more info.

We do this work on a shoestring budget each year but it is not free.

Join us at the Galleria of Mt. Lebanon every Sunday between 3:00 and 4:30 pm until voter registration closes.

We’ve teamed with Vote Forward and Swing Left to write letters to unregistered Pennsylvanians in historically underrepresented demographic groups to encourage them to register to vote. We’ll provide the names, addresses, letters, and envelopes as well as a voter registration application.  All you need to add is your personal touch and a first-class stamp. Donations for postage and printing costs are appreciated but not mandatory.
